Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country.  With the kind of vision that both the central and state governments have, there is an urgent need to work towards train our youth with higher and better levels of skills in order to prepare them adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of world of work.  As the residual Andhra Pradesh moves progressively towards becoming a 'knowledge economy' it becomes increasingly important that the Universities should focus on advancement of skills that are relevant to the emerging employment opportunities.

It is with this rationale that Sri Krishnadevaraya University has taken the lead to set up a Centre for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Incubation to serve the under developed region of the country.
